Springer – Safe Cycling with Your Dog

The Springer bicycle attachment allows a dog to run safely and under control alongside a bicycle while the cyclist keeps both hands on the handlebars. The strong coil spring and support arm absorb much of the force from sudden pulling movements, helping the cyclist maintain balance and control while riding.

How Does the Springer Work?

The Springer attaches to the bicycle frame and helps keep the dog at a safe distance from the wheels and pedals. When the dog suddenly pulls, the coil spring absorbs much of the pulling force. Positioning the attachment low on the bicycle reduces the effect of this force on the cyclist's balance.

The updated Springer features a flexible mounting system suitable for most bicycles. The mounting bracket can be attached at different positions on the frame or, if the frame is too large, to the seat post. The included protective strip provides additional grip and protection for the bicycle when needed. Thanks to the height-adjustable support arm, the attachment can be positioned to maintain sufficient clearance from the rear tyre and pedals.

Easy Installation and Flexible Use

The Springer is easy to install using four bolts and the included Allen key. Installation usually takes just a few minutes.

Thanks to the quick-release system, the support arm can be easily removed while the mounting bracket remains attached to the bicycle. The Springer can also be quickly moved from one side of the bicycle to the other. This is particularly useful when the dog needs to walk on the opposite side due to traffic or passing dogs.

The Springer features a safety release mechanism at the end of the dog lead. It is designed to release in unexpected situations, such as when the dog suddenly stops, the cyclist falls or an obstacle comes between the dog and the bicycle.
